WEST RIDING PRIMARY SCHOOL IS LOOKING FOR AN ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK/SCHOOL FEE COLLECTION CLERK

West Riding Primary School is seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the role of School Fee Collection Clerk on a school-funded contract. If you have experience in the collection of funds and or bookkeeping this is for you. Please note that this is a contract position and you will be paid monthly by the school not the government.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in English (spoken and written).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a bookkeeper.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong knowledge and practical use of Pastel accounting software.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Able to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Processing receipts and banking of school funds.
  • Managing school fee accounts, including credits, payments, adjustments, and follow-ups on outstanding balances.
  • Handling debt collection and exemption applications.
  • Assisting with stock takes and month-end processes (journals, provisions, adjustments)
  • Budget preparation and reporting.
  • Generating financial reports for the SGB and WCED.
